Chengdu Illuminates Landmark to Welcome The World Games 2025

 

On the evening of 28 December, Chengdu's iconic Twin Towers illuminated, symbolizing the city's warm welcome to The World Games 2025. The dazzling light show captured the enthusiasm of Chengdu as it prepares to host the international sporting event.

 

The World Games, organised by the International World Games Association, is a global sports competition first held in 1981 and occurs every four years. The event primarily features non-Olympic sports. Anticipated to take place from 7-17 August, 2025, in Chengdu, the 12th edition of The World Games will comprise 35 major events with an estimated participation of around 5,000 athletes.
