Sixth TWG 2025 Monthly Fair Celebrates with Dragon Boat Races and Int'l Children's Day Festivities
On 1-2 June, the sixth of The World Games (TWG) 2025 Twelve Monthly Fairs came to Huanglongxi Ancient Town in Chengdu, China to celebrate International Children’s Day falling on 1 June and the upcoming Chinese Dragon Boat Festival on 10 June this year with demonstrations and experience activities related to TWG 2025 sports/disciplines such as Canoe (Dragon Boat and Kayak) and Powerboating (Motosurf).
At 10:00 a.m. on 1 June, the sixth fair officially kicked off with the sound of gongs and drums. Forty-eight teams went upstream like arrows leaving the string in Jinjiang River, which runs through the Huanglongxi Ancient Town. They competed together to present a grand scene of Dragon Boat races, which will be on the sports programme from the 12th edition of TWG from 7 to 17 August 2025 in Chengdu.
As various activities on the river were in full swing, cultural and entertaining activities on the river bank also attracted many people to participate. Children enjoyed interactive games and performances such as water gun archery, mini billiards, puppet shows and clown magic shows.
