2024 IWWF World Wakeboard Championships: A Key Qualifier for TWG 2025

The 2024 International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) World Wakeboard Championships will take place from 23 to 27 October in Hangzhou City, China. This championship will serve as the qualifier for the Wakeboard events at The World Games TWG 2025 in Chengdu.

 

 

The event will kick off on 23 October with the first day of competition and culminate in the finals and closing ceremony on 27 October. Athletes from 28 countries and regions have registered to participate, including star athlete Xu Lu from Sichuan Province, China, who recently won the IWWF Asia Wakefest Shijiazhuang 2024 title.

 

 

Wakeboard combines elements of waterskiing, snowboarding, and surfing. Each rider is allowed two passes through the course, during which they can perform a routine of their choice. Judges score performances based on three categories: execution, intensity, and composition. Competitors are encouraged to deliver a smooth, dynamic performance with a diverse range of tricks.
