Travel with TWG Series Officially Launches

On 25 October, the launch ceremony of Travel with The World Games (TWG) series and the International Fashion Sports Festival took place at the Global Center in Chengdu. This event marks an exciting prelude to TWG 2025, blending sports and tourism with local culture.

 

 

Special guests included Billiards World Champion Gareth Potts (British 8-Ball) and Chinese Billiards Champion Zhang Kunpeng (Chinese 8-Ball), who delivered a live performance to showcase the allure of Billiards as a TWG sport.

The event was honored by the presence of IWGA President José Perurena and Vice President Tom Dielen. In his address, Dielen extended deep appreciation to the General Administration of Sport of China, Sichuan Province, and Chengdu City for their dedication to promoting non-Olympic sports in China. He emphasized how the Travel with TWG series combines the unique spirit of TWG with China's cultural and tourism treasures, promoting the Games.

The event offered a dynamic experience as TWG sports were integrated with a caravan display featuring sports like Flying Disc, Archery, Roller Sports, and American Football. Interactive stations such as VR Gaming, Drone Racing, and Motion-sensing Games allowed attendees to immerse themselves in the event. For a playful twist, a TWG obstacle challenge was set up, where participants rolled, jumped, climbed, and ran under the guidance of coaches, experiencing the fun and excitement these sports offered.

 

 

On 29 October, the TWG-themed caravan will kick off the official Travel with TWG journey, promising a memorable adventure leading up to TWG 2025.
