From 6 to 9 November, the WFDF 2024 World Team Disc Golf Championship was held in Perth, Australia. Competing for the first time on the international stage, China’s national Disc Golf team joined 22 other teams from around the globe. Estonia emerged as champions, with Australia and Canada taking second and third places, respectively.

The event was the final points contributor to the Disc Golf World Rankings which are used to select the 15 countries that will join the host People’s Republic of China at The World Games (TWG) 2025 Chengdu in August 2025 where Disc Golf makes its return to the sports programme since its debut there in 2001 in Akita, Japan.

The event drew wide attention to TWG 2025. Many participating teams expressed excitement about travelling to China, eager to experience Chengdu’s dynamic urban culture and vibrant sports atmosphere.
