2024 UIM Macao Grand Prix MotoSurf World Championship Finale Held in Macao
From 22 to 24 November, the 2024 UIM Macao Grand Prix MotoSurf World Championship Finale took place in Macao, China. Organised by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), this year’s championship attracted a record-breaking number of 126 participating racers representing 22 countries and regions.
The championship featured seven categories: Elite, Stock, Stock R – Merlin Plus, Masters, Women, Junior Boy, and Junior Girl. In the Stock category, Kim Minseong and Kim Down from the ROK claimed the first and second positions. Czech athletes dominated the top three spots in both the Elite and Women’s categories. Eliska Matouskova, the Women’s champion, became the first Powerboating racer to secure a spot in The World Games (TWG) 2025 Chengdu. Chinese athlete Zheng Jinghao earned second place in the Junior Boy category, making history as the first member of China’s MotoSurf team to reach the podium at a World Championship.
This year’s team selection saw the Chinese MotoSurf team field 24 athletes, marking the largest participation from China to date.
