Chengdu Rural Sports Games Reach Tianfu New Area with TWG Sports

On 28 December 2024, the Chengdu Rural Sports Games, featuring The World Games (TWG) sports, reached its second stop in Tianfu New Area’s Huayang Subdistrict. The event featured a fun-filled rural sports competition, with 10 local teams competing in a lively contest.

 

 

A special area showcasing TWG 2025 Chengdu was set up at the event site, featuring a TWG cultural wall, a TWG sports experience zone, and a TWG outdoor classroom.

 

The TWG themed cultural wall offered a glimpse into the history of The World Games, with highlights including the TWG 2025 mascot, emblem, slogan, and sports introductions. The display helped local residents have a closer look into the Games.

 

 

The TWG sports experience zone was a hit with the community. Residents gathered around the experience areas for American Football (Flag Football), Flying Disc, Baseball-Softball, and Archery. Guided by professional coaches, participants had a fun time trying out these eye-opening sports.

 

Meanwhile, the TWG outdoor classroom drew a crowd of young people, who listened attentively as sports coaches explained the gameplay and rules of Flying Disc. The session introduced participants to techniques such as throw, run and catch, allowing them to appreciate the unique appeal of TWG sports.
