Chengdu Community Sports Games Bring TWG Events to Longquanyi District

 

On 14 February 2025, the Chengdu Community Sports Games featuring The World Games (TWG) events reached its seventh stop at Dong’an Subdistrict in Longquanyi District. Local citizens enjoyed a sunny spring day as they participated in various sports activities that brought the excitement of TWG to the community.

 

At Paradise Walk Plaza in the subdistrict, six sports experience zones attracted a large crowd, offering hands-on activities of TWG events including Archery, Fistball, Baseball-Softball, Korfball, Flying Disc and American Football. Participants also received a stamp collection card and were encouraged to complete fun tasks in an Orienteering-style activity. By visiting designated zones and completing challenges, they earned exclusive stamps, which could be exchanged for custom sports gifts like flying discs and softballs.

 

 

In addition to the sports experience, informative displays about the development and sports of TWG were set up around the site. Volunteers were on hand to enthusiastically introduce TWG to citizens, providing them with a deeper insight into this upcoming event while participants enjoyed the activities.

 

Local resident Zhou Yi, who attended the event with his child, shared, “I brought my kid along today just for this event. Not only did we get some exercise, we also learned more about The World Games.”
