New Speed Skating Venue for TWG 2025 Chengdu to Open in April

Nestled within Xindu District, Chengdu, Shuyue Park is an exemplar of urban green space that harmoniously blends recreational and sporting facilities. Scheduled to make its debut in April, it will serve as a venue for Speed Skating of The World Games (TWG) 2025 Chengdu, marking it as a unique facility of its kind within the city.

 

 

Spanning approximately 70,000 square metres, this verdant park has been built by Xindu District Xiangtou Group, offering a diverse array of sporting pursuits such as Speed Skating, Badminton, Basketball and beyond. Its Speed Skating circuit boasts a total loop length of 467.9 metres, with a straight section measuring 163.75 metres in length and 8.3 metres in width. During TWG 2025, the venue will accommodate around 620 spectators.

 

 

The project director elucidated that Shuyue Park is partitioned into zones dedicated to leisure and Speed Skating competitions respectively. As it stands, the construction phase is nearing completion, with concerted efforts being made to finalise all outstanding tasks to guarantee a timely inauguration.
