TWG 2025 in School: Parkour Inspires Students in Chengdu
On 2 April, The World Games (TWG) 2025 in School with Parkour took place at Chengdu Tianhui Primary School. During the event, teachers introduced students to the basics of TWG 2025, taught them the official theme song Zhu Meng (Chasing Dreams), and welcomed world champion He Yiyu for an interactive session with the school's parkour team.
"Parkour is one of the official disciplines of TWG 2025. It is both a physical and mental challenge that teaches us how to turn obstacles into opportunities," He Yiyu told the students. He also shared insights into the sport's history, breaking down key movement techniques with a focus on safety and creativity.
Observing the students as they leapt between obstacles, He Yiyu carefully analysed their movements, stressing that "control is more important than speed" and encouraging them to build confidence with every attempt.
Beyond Gymnastics (Parkour), other TWG sports such as Roller Sports and Cheerleading also took centre stage, bringing energy and excitement to the campus. With students actively taking part and cheers ringing out across the school, the event fuelled the city's growing enthusiasm for TWG 2025.
