TWG Course Initiative Lights the Way for Inclusive Sports
On Sunday 25 May 2025, The World Games (TWG) 2025 held its Billiards Sports programme—an integral part of the TWG Course initiative—in Kangzhuang Community, Qingyang District, Chengdu, offering people with disabilities an opportunity to dive into the TWG 2025 vibe.
Renowned provincial Billiards Sports coaches provided on-site instruction. To ensure accessibility, this session featured inclusive facilities including low tables, assistive cue sticks and visual guidance markers, which supported participants using wheelchairs, those with visual or hearing impairments, and students from special education schools.
Notably, TWG 2025 has para disciplines such as Duo for athletes with impairment in Ju-Jitsu and Freediving for athletes with impairment in Underwater Sports.
The TWG Course initiative will continue next week with senior-focused activities, achieving inclusive participation for the wider public.
