On 24 May, volunteer training for The World Games (TWG) 2025 officially launched at Sichuan University, with over 400 representatives attending. This marks the full rollout of the training programme for nearly 10,000 selected volunteers.
Since recruitment began, the campaign has inspired widespread enthusiasm across universities in Chengdu. Volunteers were chosen through online tests and interviews to ensure high standards and strong service commitment.
Song Siduo, a student volunteer from Sichuan University, shared: "From the moment I applied, I've come to deeply understand the spirit of volunteerism. Whether during the online tests or the interviews, each step has reinforced my commitment to serving the Games."
Organisers aim to build a skilled, dedicated team through structured training and support, while also showcasing the energy of Chinese youth and the welcoming spirit of Chengdu.
The 2025 Chengdu Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition was also launched at the event.
