Travel with TWG Series Lights up Wuhou District with Sport and Culture

On 29 May, the Travel with The World Games (TWG) series arrived in Chengdu’s Wuhou District, launching at Chengdu City Concert Hall.

 

 

Following stops in Leshan City, Bazhong City and across Chengdu, this edition brought TWG experiences to iconic spots like the Wuhou Shrine Museum, Musical Fun and Yulin Community — just in time for the Dragon Boat Festival.

 

 

The opening show blended tradition and energy, with suona master Chen Libao and Wushu athletes delivering a powerful cross-cultural performance. A fusion of erhu and rap captured the unbreakable spirit of sport.

 

 

Visitors enjoyed hands-on activities including land Dragon Boat racing, Boules Sports, and Kickboxing, while Gymnastics (Parkour) and balance beam stations turned city streets into mini arenas. A folk workshop offered zongzi-making, bracelet weaving and sachet crafting to celebrate the holiday.

 

 

Six immersive concerts over three days enhanced the festive atmosphere, blending sport, music, and culture.
