The group draw for Flying Disc (Ultimate) at The World Games (TWG) 2025 took place on Sunday 1 June 2025 at Chengdong Sports Park, Chengdu, which was led by World Flying Disc Federation (WFDF) Vice President Brian Gisel and Ultiworld Editor-in-Chief Charlie Eisenhood via a video call.

At TWG 2025, the Ultimate discipline will feature eight teams: the United States, Colombia, Germany, Japan, France, Canada and China. Team China has been placed in Pool A alongside the United States, Germany, and Japan.

Team China will consist of 14 selected players (seven women and seven men), five of whom are from Chengdu University.

The Flying Disc of TWG 2025 includes two disciplines: Ultimate and Disc Golf. Ultimate made its debut as an invited discipline at TWG 1989 in Karlsruhe, Germany and has been on the TWG programme since the 2001 edition in Akita, Japan. Disc Golf returns to TWG for the first time in six editions since Akita.

Ultimate is a non-contact, self-refereed team sport played with a Flying Disc frisbee. Two teams of seven players compete on a playing field about the same length as a football field, but narrower. At each end of the playing field there is an end zone. Each team defends one end zone. They score a goal if one of their players catches the disc in the opposite end zone.
