Guixi Park
The Park is located south of the Tianfu Ring Expressway in Hi-tech Zone, Chengdu, Sichuan (a node on the Jincheng Greenway Hi-Tech Zone section). With a planned area of over 1,400 mu (approximately 93 hectares), it forms part of the Tianfu Greenway system. It is a large, roughly rectangular public green space bisected by Tianfu Avenue running through its centre, earning it the nickname Chengdu’s “Central Park”. The park is divided into eastern and western sections connected by a footbridge and is a cultural park themed around “sports vitality and leisure fashion”. Its many functions include catering, sports, and trendy lifestyle. The park officially opened in October 2016.
It is a comprehensive green platform integrating the sponge city concept, diverse water features, varied landscapes, spaces for public interaction and activities, and emergency shelter facilities. Elements like rooftops, pavements, and parking lots prominently feature permeable surfaces. The park’s water system connects with surrounding waterways, linking Jincheng Lake and the Jinjiang River, while also supplementing water for Yueya Lake and Jiangtan Park, forming a comprehensive regional water network. Its eastern and western sections each contain an area of the lake, with water primarily sourced from Jincheng Lake. Additionally, the park incorporates various water elements such as rainwater recycling gardens and water features adorning the square, complemented by waterfront spaces designed according to the terrain for public recreation.
TWG 2025 Chengdu Disc Golf will take place in the eastern section of the park from 8 August to 10 August.
