Disc Golf Day at TWG 2025 Venue
On 15 June, Chengdu's Guixi Park hosted a hands-on Flying Disc (Disc Golf) experience, offering the public a chance to try one of The World Games (TWG) 2025 disciplines. Twenty participants, selected by random draw, took part under the guidance of three professional coaches.
The event took place at the venue for TWG 2025 and was strongly supported by the Chengdu Flying Disc Association. Coaches included Xu Yang, Director of the Association's Disc Golf Committee; Xie Benrui, national-level referee and coach; and Chen Xinrui, team leader of Chengdu Team, 2025 National Disc Golf Championships.
Participants ranged in age from 12 to 52. The youngest, a school team captain, quickly became a standout with his confident performance.
Coach Xie said he hopes the Games will help more people discover the sport. Xu Yang added: "Flying Disc (Disc Golf) is fun solo or with others. I hope spectators at TWG 2025 will feel both the excitement of the sport and the unique charm of Chengdu."
