Chengdu Sport University Venue Operations Centre to Be Delivered by Mid-July
As one of the key clusters for The World Games (TWG) 2025, Chengdu Sport University Venue Operations Centre in Chengdu Eastern New Area will be fully delivered by mid-July.
During TWG 2025, this centre will host competitions in four sports: Flying Disc (Ultimate), Boules Sports, Underwater Sports, and Life Saving. These include seven disciplines and a total of 49 events.
Among them, the Athletics Field will serve as the venue for Flying Disc (Ultimate). It is a standard 400-metre athletic track with a building area of 14,000 square metres and approximately 9,800 spectator seats.
The Boules Sports Court will host the Boules Sports events during TWG 2025, featuring two disciplines: Lyonnaise and Pétanque. Temporary seating for up to 480 spectators will be arranged. At present, the basic renovations have been completed, and temporary facilities are currently being installed.
The Natatorium will host both Life Saving and Underwater Sports. Two 50-metre standard swimming pools have been renovated to meet international competition standards, and 182 square metres of temporary functional spaces, including broadcasting rooms, have also been set up. During the competition, around 1,398 spectator seats will be available. Basic renovation work has already been completed.
