Opening Match of TWG 2025 Chengdu Commences

Today, Wednesday 6 August at 09:00, the Floorball competition of The World Games (TWG) 2025 Chengdu kicked off with its first match at the Xindu Xiangcheng Sport Centre. The Floorball Women's Team Preliminary Group match 1 between Thailand and Sweden marks the inaugural one of TWG 2025. Several competitions will precede the Opening Ceremony, following the established tradition of international multi-sport events.

 

 

 

The Floorball tournament at TWG 2025 features Men's and Women's Team categories, taking place from 6 to 13 August and awarding two gold medals. Both categories involve eight teams. Team China will compete in the Men's Team category, placed in Group Pool B alongside Finland, Czechia, and Canada. On Wednesday afternoon, Team China will face Finland in the Floorball Men's Team Preliminary Group.

 

The Softball Men's Team Preliminary Group will also be contested today.
