11th China (Nanjing) Cheerleading Open Sets Stage for TWG 2025 Cheerleading Events

From 24 to 26 October, the 11th China (Nanjing) Cheerleading Open took place in Nanjing, attracting nearly 1,800 athletes from 11 countries and regions. The US National Team clinched the championship, while teams from Wuhan Sports University and Hohai University secured second and third places, respectively. For Chinese competitors, the results will serve as a selection criterion for the Cheerleading events at The World Games (TWG) 2025 Chengdu. It’s noteworthy that the Pom discipline will debut at TWG in Chengdu.

The International Cheer Union sent several international judges to Nanjing. Prior to the event, Secretary General Karl Olson visited Chengdu for the second Competition Managers Meeting and other preparations for next August’s TWG. In an interview with China Central Television, he praised the preparatory work and expressed his excitement about the event.
